The Minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et des Services sociaux (MSSS) and its Direction des laboratoires et de l\u2019imagerie m\u00e9dicale have entrusted H\u00e9ma-Qu\u00e9bec with the task of monitoring the adverse reactions of human tissue transplants. This centralized monitoring covers all human tissue, whether provided by H\u00e9ma-Qu\u00e9bec or another supplier, as stated in the letter sent by MSSS to the executive directors and directors of professional services of health institutions on February 19, 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Any report of a failure, accident or adverse reaction must be made by an individual authorized by the health care facility. This can be the transplanting physician, an individual in charge of post-transplant follow-up, a nurse or someone who has been assigned to the task. It is important that the institution\u2019s designated individual coordinate the identification of adverse reactions and inform any health care personnel doing post-transplant follow-up about the reporting process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
